What we collect and why

When you contact us or place an order, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, contact details, delivery address, and the details of your order or enquiry. We also receive basic technical data from your visit to our website, such as IP address and browser type, via standard server logs.

If you sign up to be notified when a product becomes available, we collect your email address. We use it to send you a confirmation email at the time of signup and a notification when ordering opens for that product. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.

We use this data to fulfil your order, answer your questions, keep the records that Finnish accounting and tax law require us to keep, and — where you have signed up — to notify you when a product becomes available. We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share data with

We work with a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: an e-commerce and payments platform, an email delivery and waitlist platform, shipping carriers, website hosting and analytics providers, and our accountant. Some providers may process data outside the EU under recognised safeguards such as EU standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

We may change which provider we use for a given function — for example, switching email delivery platforms — and transfer the relevant data to the new provider for the same purpose, without asking you to re-consent. The list at the end of this policy reflects the providers currently in use; we update it whenever a provider changes.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for any purpose beyond those described above.

How long we keep it

Order records and related correspondence are kept for six years from the end of the calendar year in which the order was placed, as Finnish accounting law requires. Email correspondence unrelated to an order is kept for up to two years and then deleted. Website server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting providers, typically a few weeks.

Your rights

You have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to delete your data (subject to our legal obligation to keep order records), and to object to or restrict certain uses of your data. You can also withdraw consent at any time where our processing is based on it.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us and we will respond within 30 days. A typical access request returns your order history, current contact details on file, and any email correspondence we have retained.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

Cookies and analytics

We aim to keep the website free of intrusive tracking. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or any form of cross-site tracking. For analytics we use privacy-friendly tools that work without cookies and do not identify individual visitors.

Our website may store a small amount of information on your device — such as a cookie or a local storage entry — when this is necessary for features you use. Examples include remembering your language choice or interface preferences such as a light or dark theme. These are used only to make the site work as you expect and are not shared with anyone.

Our checkout runs on a platform operated by our payment processor — see the service providers list below. When you proceed to checkout, you are subject to that platform's privacy practices.

If we introduce additional analytics, A/B testing, or other features that require your consent under EU law, we will update this policy and ask you before activating them.

We keep this list current. The version in force when you placed your order applies to that order. Provider names link to their respective privacy policies. The shipping carrier used for your order is confirmed in your order confirmation email.
